Black as black can be and as soft as velvet, Sartre Stout is a classic dry Irish Stout.  We have sought a compromise between the smoothness and interesting zing of Guiness and the sweeter coffee tones of Murphy's.  Sartre Stout is easier to drink than our other stouts.  It is especially good when mixed with our Smith Scottish Ale to create our own special homebrew black and tan--The Black Watch. The first all-grain batch had a poor extraction and ended up at a much lower ABV than we expected. It's still tasty, though.
